Step 1 - Open the photo |
Open the photo you want to rotate. If the image contains multiple layers, be aware that you can choose to rotate all layers or just the current layer. |
Step 2 - Open the Rotate dialog |
Choose Image > Rotate > Free Rotate, or press Ctrl + R. The Rotate dialog opens. |
Perform this step for me. |
Step 3 - Choose a direction |
In the Direction section of the dialog, choose either Right or Left. |
Step 4 - Set the degree |
In the Degree section, choose one of the standard values (90, 180, or 270), or choose Free and then enter a value from .01 to 359.99 degrees. |
Step 5 - Set layer rotation option |
If you're rotating a single-layer image, you can ignore this step. But if you're rotating a multiple-layer image, mark the All Layers checkbox to rotate each layer. To rotate only the active layer, do not mark this checkbox. |
Step 6 - Apply the rotation |
Click OK to apply the rotation. |

Notes and Tips: |
If you only need to rotate an image 90 degrees, simply choose one of two commands: Image > Rotate > Rotate Clockwise 90, or Rotate Counter-clockwise 90. |
